Multilink over different latency Links

Hi Experts,

We have two serial links from India to US. Both are originating and terminating on the same routers at both ends. However both differ in latency by bout 40 ms.

Ques is-If we create a PPP Multilink fro these 2 links, would it cause and degradation in service since both have different latencies.

Many thanks,

Re: Multilink over different latency Links

40ms is a bit high. This document:

http://cisco.com/en/US/products/sw/iosswrel/ps1830/products_feature_guide09186a0080087955.html

indicates 50ms maxiumum differential delay, but this other:

http://cisco.com/en/US/tech/tk543/tk762/technologies_tech_note09186a00804d3084.shtml

indicates 30.

Consider that things should work fine even without MLPPP.

Hope this helps, if so rate post.
