interface ve 2

ip address 192.168.2.1 255.255.255.0

!

interface ve 3

ip follow ve 2

!

interface ve 4

Re: Multiple VLAN inside the same subnet

Why do you need to do this? I dont believe this is applicable with interface vlan,
Sometimes for point to point connection we use ip un number, but for interface vlan i dont think this will be a good idea

Thanks for reply.

I want this to fix some design problems, and separate clients.
This will save me a lot og work and time, time I do not have

By splitting the broadcast domain in Brocade style separation would be restricted to broadcasts, multicasts and unknown unicasts but IP connectivity would be still unrestricted. What would you benefit from splitting up? Today's CPUs can easily handle 1000 hosts' broadcast packets.

However, if you introduce private VLANs, you can control and restrict host-to-host traffic and create groups separated from each other.

Brocade's method is not available on Cisco because IP Proxy ARP requires an IP address on the interface.
