Hi all,

I've 2 router in hsrp and different static nat configured.

I've found differnet topics that say: "Behavior will be unpredictable if both HSRP routers have the same static NAT and are not configured with the hsrp keyword linking them to the same HSRP group".

But the question is...can someone explain me what happen exactly without redundancy?

Thanks in advance

Gianluca

Hi,

As you probarly know problems with using "the same" static NAT statement on multiple routers is population of ARP cache , and timeout of ARP cache.

Without redundancy you don't have this problem because then you just have normal (default) behavior.
