natting help required

Hi,

What's the exact meaning of this coomand?. I know it's doing natting in Router. Is it same like static command in PIX .

ip nat inside source static 10.254.254.10 172.21.17.10

It says, when a packet is received on outside interface for 172.21.17.10 it will nat that destination address on the packet to 10.254.254.10.

Same way packets going out, when its received on the inside interface of the router, the source address is translated from 10.254.254.10 to 172.21.17.10.
