Hi Navinder,

This IOS is supported for both the platforms below and it does support NBAR.

CAT6000-SUP720/MSFC3

7600-SUP720/MSFC3

You can check this by going to Cisco Feature Navigator

Hi,

When I check the features of IOS Image in Feature Navigator, it gives me the below features for NBAR.

Ø NBAR - Network-based Application Recognition

Ø NBAR Real-time Transport Protocol Payload Classification

Ø Distributed Network-based Application Recognition (dNBAR)

Regards,

Navinder

Hi,

Isnt that what you are looking for?

Lejoe

Hi,

However, it is not support on 7606 Router. As per the link below it is not supported on 7600 router.

http://www.cisco.com/en/US/prod/collateral/iosswrel/ps6537/ps6558/ps6612/ps6653/prod_qas09186a00800a3ded_ps6616_Products_Q_and_A_Item.html

Isn't it contradictory, Feature Navigator is showing that the NBAR Feature is supported on 122-18.SXF15a Image, but, the documented FAQs says different.

Rgs,

Navinder.

Hi,

Well thats true, but I would go by the Cisco Feature Navigator, which is more likely to be updated frequently. The only reason I can think of is the NBAR documentation could not have been updated.

Surprisingly NBAR is not truly supported on the SUP720. The only supervisor that does support NBAR is the SUP32 PISA, as it has hardware dedicated for this.
