Hi,
below is my isis config
R1
interface fe 0/0
ip address 192.168.2.2 255.255.255.0
ip router isis
isis circuit-type level-2-only
interface s 0/0
ip address 172.16.1.1 255.255.255.252
ip router isis
isis circuit-type level-1
router isis
net 49.0001.1111.1111.1111.00
what is the area id of level-1 and level-2 by default?
how do I config the net (49.0002.2222.2222.222.00) to level-2

ISIS behaves a bit differently than OSPF in terms of areas..
In ISIS the entire router is in a particular area whereas in OSPF an interface belongs to a particular area .
So in the above case the area ID would be 49.0001 for both level1 and level 2

Hi,
Base on the ccnp BSCI book, L2 and L1 should not be in the same area, should be it?
if so, how to assign different net id to "single route"? one is for L1, other is for L2.

you cannot
The L2 routers in ISIS route between areas.
All areas will have a L1/L2 router that can connect to the L2 router for routing away from that area.
You can define the circuit type to be L2 only on the interface connecting to a L2 router so that it does not send any L1 hellos

Hi,
Base on my config, it is not the correct setting, is it?
for the normal setting of single router must be "L1" or "L1 and L1/L2" or "L1/L2 and L2".
Is it the correct concept?
