Hi Guys,

I have one question about Network design. We have two datacenter Primary and secondary.  we advertised same subnet from Primary and secondary  data center but from secondary DC we advertised these subnet with 2 times as prepend so the remote branches  which are connected via Service provider using BGP MPLS will always preferred Primary DC. But now we have requirement that one branch will always prefer secondary DC and other braches always prefer Primary DC. What we should do for it

Hello 

Since you are going through SP MPLS, you have lesser control on outbound route selection..Your traffic will always go to the PE where you have connected. I believe the easiest way to do this with the coordination with Service provider as they have better control for the advertised routes

Hi,

You must have taken L3VPN service from service provider. On PE router service-provider needs to apply import route-map to increase LP of the preferred DC site.
