NM-1HSSI LB/CN LED

Hello

Can anybody confirm the LB/CN LED functions on an NM-1HSSI module? I've tried two modules in both 2800 and 3600 routers with different versions of IOS and cannot get this LED to illuminate.

I have tried connecting to a DSU or back to back with a crossover cable without success. The LED will also not illuminate yellow when the card is placed in loopback.

In back to back testing I connected to a 7200 and the PA-H LED works correctly. The TA and CA lines are up according to show interface and the link functions correctly.

I'm wondering if this fault is related to a specific hardware revision of the NM.

It is likely that the LED is controlled by software/firmware, and that there was an oversight in testing. If the issue is reproducible, and inconsistent across platforms, a TAC case and bug report is in order.
