hi all,
i have a leased line connection to my branch office p-t-p, rt now my leased line is 128 kbps, when tried upgrading it to 512kbps, service provider upgraded the line but there is no communication at all, when they changed back to the previous 128 kb it started working perfectly.
my router is 2620XM.
i have a doubt will this NM-8A/S support 512kb, or just 128 kb, will appreciate all the posts.

The A/S modules can't go to 512K ... I believe it's limited to 128K.
According to this link:
http://www.cisco.com/en/US/products/hw/routers/ps274/products_tech_note09186a00800a93f1.shtml
It says this:
(quote)
The 4-port (NM-4A/S) and 8-port (NM-8A/S) asynchronous/synchronous (async/sync) network modules provide async connectivity with speeds up to 115.2 kbps, and sync connectivity with speeds up to 128 kbps. These modules use the 60-pin "5-in-1" cables, similar to those used on the Cisco 2500 and Cisco 7000 series routers.
(end quote)
It sound like you need a WIC T1.
Good Luck

You mean wic-1T not T1. Also you need to verify you have the right cables to go from this card to the CSU/DSU. I believe you will need v.35 DTE cables. Check the part number of what you have with what is required.
