not able to connect 3750 with 6509

I am able to connect Cat3750 port g1/0/25 with Cat4503 using SC-LC duplex fiber cable. But when i connect the same port from 3750 to 6509 using the same cable, the port on the 6509 shows "notconnected", here is the info of the port:

6509> sh port stat 2/11

Can someone show me what is the problem? thanks

is gig 1/0/25 on 3750 showing down/down as well? What is it's status? Can you try on 3750 under interface gig 1/0/25 "speed nonegotiate"? And see if the connection comes up?
