Hi,

I want to know the maximum numbers of dialer interfaces that can be created on any Cisco router. Is their any limit and why this limit is imposed ( is creating dialer virtual interfaces do consume the router memory and other resources) and what could be possible outcomes if created a large number of Dialer interfaces ( 800 interfaces) on router performance.

Kindly confirm ASAP.

As far as I know the main limitation on how many dialer interfaces would be the limitation in IOS on how many Interface Descriptor Blocks are supported. Every configured interface (both physical interfaces and virtual interfaces) requires an IDB. The number of IDBs supported varies by platform and sometimes by release level. There is a show idb command which will tell you how many IDBs are supported on your particular router.
