Hi Master,
I quite confuse about this 2 command. Actually what is the main difference btw offset-list & distribute-list ??
offset-list VS distribute-list
router ospf
offset-list 1 in *Which 1 is correct?
distribute-list 1 in *Which 1 is correct?
ip access-list standard 1
permit 1.1.0.0 0.0.0.0

The difference is that an offset list is used to modify the advertised metric of routes in some dynamic routing protocol while a distribute list is used to control routes that are being advertised.
So while an offset list can modify the metric it has not control over what is advertised. And a distribute list has control over what is advertised but no control over what metrics are advertised.
