Hi Mahesh,

Connetion to the remote host lost : Assuming you are connected to a host / router, you loose connection all of a sudden may be because of

Host / router admin terminating your session

Accidentally you terminating connection by yourself

request timed out : This error you will get in the scenario where you are trying to ping any remote host and there is a firewall blocking ICMP packets.

remote host unreachable : this error you will get when the connection to host is removed physically

Hope you are clear now.

Connetion to the remote host lost:

an existing connection is not working anymore due to many reasons including connection or hardware problems.

request timed out:

When trying to connect to a server there is a timeout associated with the request. If a response is not received within that time then you get the message above.

remote host unreachable:

If, after a certain number of connection attempts, no response is received then the remote host is deemed unreachable. This could be because a DNS lookup error, the host is not online at the moment or the remote host is too busy to reply toconnection requests in time.
