Re: %OSPF-4-CONFLICTING_LSAID - LOG MESSAGE

Hi,

%OSPF-4-CONFLICTING_LSAID : Found LSA with the same host bit set but using different mask \n Existing: LSA ID [int][inet] \n New: Destination [int][inet]

Explanation: An internal software error has occurred.

Recommended Action: Copy the error message exactly as it appears on the console or in the system log. Issue the show tech-support command to gather data that may provide information to determine the nature of the error. If you cannot determine the nature of the error from the error message text or from the show tech-support command output, call your Cisco technical support representative, and provide the representative with the gathered information.

Hope this helps

Re: %OSPF-4-CONFLICTING_LSAID - LOG MESSAGE

hello

please refer to http://www.ietf.org/rfc/rfc2328.txt page 235-237

this can happen if you redistribute into OSPF let say :

135.248.0.0/13 ==> LSAID 135.248.0.0

135.248.0.0/16 ==> to not conflict with first LSA, LSAID is set to 135.248.255.255

135.248.255.255/32 ==> BUG !!!

regards

Etienne
