What is the command to find out the backup path for a route in OSPF when the primary path is active. The show ip route is diplaying only the active path and the show ip ospf database is also showing the advertised-router which is active at the other end. I have two exit points for the destination.
Thank you

Hi Karthik,
OSPF doesn't keep second best path in database table ( as EIGRP do).
When you lose the best path, OSPF will try to reconverge to the second best path ( if available).

Hi Karthik,
If you configure OSPF LFA then it will show the backup path as well..Not sure whether OSPF LFA is avilable with IOS however its there in higher end routers with IOS XR..

Hi,
the backup path is possible to see if escape some particular edge ( or even the whole node ) and run calculation Dijkstra algorithm once again. It's quite tough to do it by yourself ( it requires using some scripts and algorithms) but online resources can do it. If you are really interested in - save an output from these commands
show ip ospf database router/network/summary
and upload it on topolograph.com. Then you can choose the desired source and destination, link or node failure algorithm and you will get a backup path.
