OSPF configuration assistance

Iam having links from A ---------B which runsRIP

                               A----------C static

                               B----------D OSPF

                               C----------D OSPF

Here we had done redistribution of OSPF to RIP and viceversa in the router B and redistribution of Static to OSPF and vice versa in C.

So the same routes from A advertised through RIP and Static and through redistibution it is coming to the D and it is always prefering the traffic through D----C---A.Actually we want to take the routes through A_B_D.Please assist me to tweak the configuration to achieve the same.

Hi,

Whenever we are redistributing the other routing protocol routes into OSPF, the default metric type is E2 and the cost is.so in your scenario, redistribute the static routes with metric type E1.obviously the cost will be bit high compare with RIP routes.

So it will take D-->B-->A.
