OSPF - Default Route?

How does one identify what the default route is using ospf?

I added it with two different commands and there is no indication what interface or network is the default route.

see attach

thx

Re: OSPF - Default Route?

Hello

so you have added the command ip route 0.0.0.0 0.0.0.0 "next hop ip addd"

IF then it is not showing in the routing table, it means that the next hop is not reachable.

To announce it in ospf, you also  need to add default-information originate.

Re: OSPF - Default Route?

Perhaps it would be helpful to begin with differences for default route in OSPF and in things other than OSPF. In OSPF if you want to advertise a default route you use the command default-information originate. The commands that you are talking about (ip route 0.0.0.0 and default-network) may create a default network on the router but it will not be an OSPF route.
