OSPF Design Help

Please refer to my simple diagram.

Network 1 reaches Network 3, 4 and unknown networks via link 1 only. If link 1 fails, it should use Link 2 as the back up link. The same applies to Network 2. Network 2 should only use Link 2. How do I design my OSPF according to these requirements? Thanks.

Hi,

I guess that your design has fulfilled your needs as OSPF prefers intra-area over inter-area routes, and thus network 1 will always prefer link 1 and link 2 would be its backup and vice versa.

How would traffic from network 1 come back if I only advertise network 1 from area 1 in case link 1 fails?
