OSPF down due to Retransmission Error

Hello,

We have one downstream location connected on NSSA. OSPF neighborship between ABR and downstream router is getting flucutated. In "sh log" in ABR, i'm seeing the reason being "too many retransmissions"...

%OSPF-5-ADJCHG: Process 10, Nbr x.x.x.x on Serial1/0 from FULL to DOWN, Neighbor Down: Too many retransmissions

%OSPF-5-ADJCHG: Process 10, Nbr x.x.x.x on Serial1/3 from FULL to DOWN, Neighbor Down: Too many retransmissions

%OSPF-5-ADJCHG: Process 10, Nbr x.x.x.x on Serial1/6 from FULL to DOWN, Neighbor Down: Too many retransmissions

%OSPF-5-ADJCHG: Process 10, Nbr x.x.x.x on Serial1/3 from DOWN to DOWN, Neighbor Down: Ignore timer expired

%OSPF-5-ADJCHG: Process 10, Nbr x.x.x.x on Serial1/6 from DOWN to DOWN, Neighbor Down: Ignore timer expired

What could be the reason? Can anyone advise some work around for this ??

you may need to check the MTU and physical counter parameters on interfaces connecting

OSPF neighbours - most likely causing this behaviour

check the bandwith as well
