The OSPF neighbor command permits to create adjacencies with neighbor using unicast instead of the defaul multicast.
I'm juts wondering if it's possible/suggested to create adjacencies with neighbors in different subnets (one or more hops away) on the same stile eBGP does.

Note that OSPF messages are carried in IP headers with a TTL of 1. The only exception is OSPF virtual links as Richard mentioned.
Hope this helps,

No it is not possible or suggested to try to establish neighbor relationship with routers one or more hops away. EBGP does have a concept of multi-hop neighbors but OSPF does not.
The one exception to wht I have just said is the OSPF concept of virtual links. With virtual link the OSPF router does exchange updates with a router that is multiple hops away.

you can setup a gre tunnel between routers and put the tunnel network in ospf
for it to work, the tunnel destination on each router must be reachable without ospf.. (ie. static route)
