There could be many reason it is in INIT state and need lots of information. However, you can try this link on troubleshooting OSPF. Check the INIT part.

Hi,

for ospf to form adjacency you have to be sure of these parameters:

hello timers

hold timers

MTU size

area

authentication (if configured)

these parameters should be same in both routers to form adjacency.

Hi ,

Is there any command for checking the parameters configured in OSPF.

Hi,

Try:

sh ip ospf neighbor

Then use the interface to do:

sh ip ospf interface

P.S The document provided by Danilo is very useful.

HTH,

Mohammed Mahmoud.

Show ip ospf ----

show ip ospf interface

show ip protocols

The above commands should be able to give you all the parameters

HTH, rate if it does

Please remember that also the "stub" flag must match between interfaces in the same area.
