OSPF redistribution

I designed the network based on this document.

http://www.cisco.com/en/US/tech/tk365/technologies_white_paper09186a0080531fd2.shtml#topic2

I chose to use prefix-list with distance solution. However, I am unable to backup one domain with another domain as the document claims. Also, the config for the prefix-list with distance solution is wrong. Has anyone seen this issue before? Instead of 2 redistribution points, we have 5 redistribution points.

Re: OSPF redistribution

I don't think distance command would work with prefix-list. Use access-list instead. If you are still having issues post the configuration that you are using.

Re: OSPF redistribution

Hi,

5 redistribution points are ok if they are not mutual redistribution , if they are, then its bad news.

Ive used distance command with no problems.

Just remember that the IP you use it the IP of the router that created the LSA.

Give us more information on your problem, we might help.
