We have a 7206 vxr / PA-MC-T3 configuration with two channel groups on a t1. We noticed when one channel group was experiencing heavy errors and bouncing, the other channel group would also exhibit problems. With some difficulty, I traced this down to the "error-throttling" config option for the T3 controller. In this mode the router disables clocking on the entire t1 to reduce cpu usage. This is unacceptable to us, and I need to disable this feature. My thoughts were to use "serial restart_delay" on the serial interface to keep it down and reduce cpu usage. However when I try to use this command I receive :
customer(config-if)#serial restart_delay 90
Can't set restart-delay for this interface
Is there another solution for this problem, or an explanation why I can't serial delay for this serial interface on a pa-mc-t3 channel group?
