The Paris telco has onsite and states the BRI line is fine, any ideas?

Does Paris telco has auto spid?

Do I need a special ISDN cable for use in Paris?

Do I have the right hardware ISDN card?

When you did the Show ISDN Status your layer 1 is deactivated. That tells you that your are not interfacing with the Telco correctly. You have a layer 1 issue. Do you have an internal NT-1 on your BRI. Your BRI is possibly a S/T unit and does not have the internal NT-1. You may have to get an external unit to interface to the telco. Once your layer 1 comes up you will get assigned your TEI from the telco and you should receive Multi-Frame Established on layer 2 of the command Show ISDN status...Good luck...

Show diag indicates I have a VIC2-2BRI-NT/TE second generation bri card, CCO states it can handle either network side or user side, but I'm not sure if it's auto detect or a different cables (crossover?).
