PCR/SCR values

Hi All,

I need to understand the values for PCR/SCR to be given on the ATM Interface

The topology is Hub end ATM interface ( Bandwidth E3)and Spoke end Frame relay with 1024 bandwidth and 512 CIR.

With Frame Relay value can somebody help me to get the PCR/SCR values.

Hi, the problem with mapping FR CIR/BC to ATM SCR/PCR in presence of interworking, is that the ratio changes depending on frame size.

There are entire papers on the subject, lot of calculations, but no easy formula that satisfies all cases.

However, ultimately the values are set by the SP. You've to begin asking them which value they have set, beside you did not mentioned BC for FR.

Thanks for your reply. The Bc value is 10300 in Frame Relay.

The SP has provided the PCR/SCR value of 1272/636.

I am looking for the formulas to calculate, please share if it is available.
