PIX 501 PPPoE

Hi, I have a PIX 501, running 6.3(5).

Our ISP has done away with bridged connections, so we're forced to setup PPPoE. Works fine when I take my modem out of bridging mode and get it to do the work. My relevant config:

vpdn group pppoe_group request dialout pppoe

vpdn group pppoe_group localname username@people.net.au

vpdn group pppoe_group ppp authentication chap

vpdn username username@people.net.au password *********

I am aware of this document and have tried to follow it:

http://www.cisco.com/en/US/products/hw/vpndevc/ps2030/products_configuration_example09186a00801055dd.shtml

Log is attached so as not to clutter up this text. The error would suggest I have my username or password wrong. However I have retyped it, many times, and tried a cut+paste from the modem config where it works fine, all to no avail. I have tried setting authentication to pap, mschap and chap with no real change. Any assistance appreciated.

Re: PIX 501 PPPoE

I'm sure this looked like a time waster to those knowledgeable, and it turns out, it was.

Still not sure what happened. Power cycled the device and it seems to come up fine.
