PIX Version 6.3(5) can support VPN site to site and VPN Client?

Dear All,

I woulk like to ask you about VPN.

now i had Cisco PIX 506 and PIX Version 6.3(5) i would like to do VPN site to site and VPN client only one box?

Is it support on this version?

It doesn't beacause 6.3 doesn't suports both.

second 506 has no VPN accelarator module. So, it can't.

You have to upgrade your firewall and ver 7.x.

Pix is end of sale, so you have to buy ASA 5500 firewall.

I believe that you are mistaken in stating that the PIX does not support both site to site and remote access VPN. This link is to a chapter in the PIX configuration guide for release 6.3 and focuses on configuration of site to site VPN:

And this link is to a chapter in the same PIX config guide showing configuration of PIX for remote access VPN:

So clearly the PIX version 6.3 does support doing both site to site and remote access VPN.
