Please Help...Serial Interface connection

Hi,

I have 2 x cisco routers (2600 and 3600), i am connecting Serial Interface of both routers to each other, encap is HDLC,

but the interfaces are not coming UP, getting the error when "show ip int serial 1/0" on both routers.

Please help to resolve this.....
