Hi Experts,

but gi2/6, where i use SX LC mode , it can detect.

How can i solve this prob?

First of all, use a straight cable to interconnect two gigabit ports via UTP. The crosscable may not be compatible.

Second, what type of GBIC are you using is slot 2/2? (WS-G5483?)

In general, the GBIC should be visible when issueing a "sh interface".

Verify that the GBIC is properly seated in the slot AND that it is supported by the IOS on the switch.

Could also be a defective or counterfeit GBIC or a faulty slot on the module. Please try a different slot to reduce the possible options.

Leo

Thanks Leo for your reply.

Anyway, managed to solve it . Actually need to put in the command to make sure that the port is using RJ45 connection.

The command is -> media-type rj45.
