Point to Multipoint (2) Satellite Links with separate Serial used for Rx#2
We have what equates to a 4Mb uplink to two separete locations and then 2 separate downlinks - done for spectral effeciency and therefore pricing reasons. The uplink and Downlink#1 reside on one satellite modem and then Downlink#2 terminates on a second satellite modem. At this point the connections from the single Cisco to the Modems are both V.35 Serial.
The Satellite engineer insists he's seen this done before, utilizing unnumbered serials and maybe with one modem connected via Ethernet.
Any thoughts on if this is indeed possible and with what Media requirements (will 100% V.35 do?)
Thanks for any suggestions or avenues of exploration.
