Policy-Based Routing to a subnet

Is is possible to PBR traffic to network within the routing table, instead of an interface or a directly-conncted next-hop? Meaning the traffic will follow the network and how it is installed in the routing table. If not, what are some alternatives that can be used?

Re: Policy-Based Routing to a subnet

Hi,

If you mean that you want to configure PBR with a next-hop that is not directly attached, then the answer is yes. To do so, use the 'set ip next-hop recursive ' command. As long as the router can recursively work out where the specified next-hop address is, it will work fine.

Hope that helps - pls rate the post if it does.

Regards,

Paresh
