Port monitoring issue

I want to configure port monitoring between two ports on cisco 4506.but its not working.

configuration:

monitor session 1 source interface gi3/16

monitor session 1 destination interface gi3/16

sh monitor:

Session 1

---------

Type : Local Session

Source Ports :

Both : Gi3/16

Destination Ports : Gi3/4

Plz reply on urgent

It is just two step process that you have written. Double check your configuration your source and destination are same in config.

u can show the output

then your configuration is right. If it is not working you should check other things at system level.

Configuration for this is straight forward.
