prefix-list hit count vs refcount

Can someone please explain the difference of this two counters? I tried to find a description, but was unable to do so!

Thanks

Michael

Re: prefix-list hit count vs refcount

A prefix is a portion of an IP address, starting from the leftmost bit of the leftmost octet. By specifying exactly how many bits of an address belong to a prefix, you can then use prefixes to aggregate addresses and perform some function on them, such as redistribution (filter routing updates).

refcount - Specifies checking the value of the block magic, chunk magic and refcount.
