Hi,
My company is having troubles getting a LX GBIC working in an 4506. We are trying to connect a WAN link (Fiber) to our distribution switch 4506.
We use an Agilent HFCT5611 1000BASE-LX GBIC, but it is recognized as an 1000BASE-LH and gives no connection.
At first we had IOS version 12.1(19) and it didn't recognize the GBIC at all. By upgrading to 12.2(20) it started showing as a 1000BASE-LH.
Has anyone a solution to fix this?
Regards,

The solution is to give the switch an ip route.
Thanks anyway.

Same problem here !
There are some types of Agilent GBIC's. You can see a "white piece of code" on the inside of the GBIC. All that GBIC's do not work ! If there is no code on the print inside of the GBIC. it wil work !
Lots of problems with this GBIC. I send back 20 pieces !
You can see the code through the "holes" on top of the GBIC.
