Problem with 7206 VXR

Hi Friends...

I have a new 7206 VXR Router which stays in BOOT mode. Please let me know how do I get it on normal mode. Do the needful earliest. I am able to execute all the commands in this BOOT mode but need to get rid of this BOOT mode.

I'm guessing that you do not have a valid image. You will need to TFTP a valid IOS image on to it in order to get it out of BOOT mode.

Hi Paresh..

I think IOS not an issue since I did a mistake while initial config. As it asked for "whether u want to enter initial configuration yes/no" I chose the yes option. I should have chosen the NO option and should have come out of it, but it was a mistake. Is there any way to correct this???

config-reg 0x2102

Raj,

Locate where does ur image reside. Do a dir /all.

Considering it in disk2:,boot the VXR into rommon mode and do this ..

rommon> alias boot="boot disk2: "

rommon> sync

rommon> reset

If the desired Cisco IOS software image is not the first image on the disk, u will need to specify which image for example disk2:c7200-js-mz.myimage:

rommon> alias boot="boot disk2:c7200-js-mz.myimage"

rommon> sync

rommon> reset
