Process causes high CPU utilization on catalyst 4500

Hello, I have a catalyst 4500 with the CPU utilization nearby 60%, other switches in the same network have less than 10%. I have identified this process as the problem source, but I don't have any idea about how to solve it, someone could help me about this? Thanks.

Re: Process causes high CPU utilization on catalyst 4500

Hi,

There is a great document on troubleshoothing this issue here:

http://www.cisco.com/en/US/products/hw/switches/ps663/products_tech_note09186a00804cef15.shtml

You might want to go through that first...

Pls do rate the post if it helps...

Re: Process causes high CPU utilization on catalyst 4500

Any Idea of why this process could reach high CPU utilization?

In the link below doesn't show any comment about it.

Any hint will be appreciated.

Re: Process causes high CPU utilization on catalyst 4500

Is port utilisation is ok or abnormal and any errors on it ?

Re: Process causes high CPU utilization on catalyst 4500

Monitor to see if there is a pattern of the increase in the process (timing). If it does u need to check for the particular process which is the culprit of the cause.
