I was referred to this website:
https://tools.cisco.com/SWIFT/Licensing/LicenseAdminServlet/checkStatus
to lookup the license for my new 881 router. On this webpage, it first requests three fields of information:
- Product ID
- Serial Number
- Device Credentials
I know how to obtain the first two piece of information - using show commands on the router. I don't know what "device credentials" is or where to get this information.
Can someone tell me how to derive this information?

Device credentials are simply the usernames, passwords, and SNMP (version 1 or 2) community strings required to log into a device
There are four steps for Product License Registration.
1. Enter a PAK Number
2. Validate Features
3. Designate Licensee
4. Finish and Submit
Enter the Product Authorization Key (PAK) below exactly as it appears on the label that accompanied the Cisco Information Packet.

From the CLI prompt(#):
# license save credential flash0:/credentials.lic , for example.
Your filesystem may differ. Enter a ? after the credential command to see your options.
To see the credentials:
# more flash0:/credentials.lic
Now you can copy and paste into the website.
I realize that this post is almost two years old but hopefully it helps someone else. I had difficulty finding this information as well.
