Hi,
I need to go for a router with the following feature.
. Dual CPU (1+redundant)
. Should have minimum 3 free slots
. Shall support variety of interfaces like Ch-STM1/STM1 and channelized
. STM Interfaces as per ITU-T Standard.
. Router should support interfacing with Ch-STM1, STM1, E3, ChE1, E1,
10/100 Mbps and 1000 Mbps, Gigabit Fiber.
. Ethernet Ports 8 x 10/100 /1000 Mbps or 8 Gig ports
. Channelized STM-1 - 4 Ports, upgradeable to 8 Interfaces
. STM-1 Transceiver Type Single-mode up to 5 KM
. Packet performance of at least 16Mpps or more
. Throughput should be 20 Gbps or more (full-duplex)
. All interfaces shall support wire line rate throughput for L2, L3, VPN
MPLS traffic with QoS and Security features enabled.
. Hardware based Encryptions,IP Sec 3DES/AES internal or external
. Routing Protocols: RIPv1, RIPv2, OSPFv2 and v3, BGP4.
. Protocols: PPP, Multi-link PPP, IPv4, MPLS ,L2 & L3, VRRP,
can i get an approximate idea which router would provide me with the above features

Hi,
Actually your DUAL CPU requirement , throughput of 20Gbps , Ethernet Ports 8 x 10/100 /1000 Mbps or 8 Gig ports makes me to suggest you Cisco 7600 or Catalyst 6500 for you requirement.Other features are also included in this.
HTH...rate if helpful...

I agree with Satish, 6500 or 7600 will fit in this requirement.
