Dears

I have problem with a particular subnet. It is not able to access a server port from this particular subnet only.Other public IP subnet can access without any problem. The server port is 829. I checked the firewall configuration, nothing is blocking this subnet in the firewall. Please help me if anyone have solution.

Re: Publlic IP cannot access the Server Port

Ali,

We cannot help you based on the information you have provided us with so far. Please be so kind to post additional information:

  • The entire configuration of your device (remove sensitive information)
  • The IP address of the client having troubles communicating with the server, and the address of the server itself
  • If possible, a quick sketch of your network, indicating the location of the client, router and the server

Best regards,

Peter

Dear

Please see the attached informations. Only the 212.119.x.x subnet IPs to

server 10.10.42.45 port 829 is having problem. The real IP addresses has

been changed from the config file for security purpose.

Abdu

Re: Publlic IP cannot access the Server Port

Hi ,

Have you got a route to this subnet? Are you supposed learning it from BGP?

Re: Publlic IP cannot access the Server Port

I can reach to them and from that subnet it is able to ping the Gateway.

Also I can see the packets to the server port when they do telnet by ip

cache flow command.

Re: Publlic IP cannot access the Server Port

Can you sniff your server interface to see what's happening?

Re: Publlic IP cannot access the Server Port

You mean through router or directly to the server? Another subnets can reach

the port without any problem.

Re: Publlic IP cannot access the Server Port

Sniff directly on server and maybe at the same time debug ip packet detail where acl is only permitting the traffic you have problem with.

regards.
