pvc encapsulation

Hi,

I need to configure cisco 857 in bridge mode and let 1811 work as pppoe client.

I did this before. The difference this time is the pvc encapsulation for this adsl is aal5mux which looks like pppoa encapsulation to me.

I attached the configuration of the router 857 and dialer part for 1811.

Can anybody help me to have a look and let me know if it is right or not?

Thanks

Re: pvc encapsulation

Hi,

please confirm with ISP which is the encapsulation used. If it is PPPoA, you cannot bridge it because PPPoA does not have ethernet addresses on which bridging is based. PPPoE of course have that is is easily bridged.

Hope this helps, please rate post if it does!
