Qos Call-Signaling Drops

    I have a 7609 with 12.4 w/SIP 200 and channelzed DS3 connected to and edge 2851. I'm seeing drops on the Call-Signling queue on the 7906only.

Bandwidth percent was raised to 25% on the 7609 and they still show in the queue.  Is this normal?  I have several location with the same symptom.

Hi,

I see that you have WRED configured in the call-signaling queue... with WRED, drops are to be expected - random-detect shouldn't be configured for call signaling traffic. Once random-detect is removed, the drops will only be a function of the associated FIFO queue - when the FIFO is full, packets will be tail dropped.
