QoS configuration on Layer3 interface of Cat6500(IOS)

Hi,

I want to config end-to-end QoS on my network. The only question left is that:

At the core layer, 2 Cat6500 connect to each other by layer 3 Gi interface with IP address, I don't know what's the difference between L2 and L3 interface QoS confiuration and how to do.

Layer 3 IP precedence values?The IP version 4 specification defines the three most significant bits of the 1-byte Type of Service (ToS) field as IP precedence.
