QOS for ISIS

Hi,

I am desging QOS policies for a big network with ISIS as IGP and it has MPLS VPN servcies running. The QOS will use MPLS EXP bits as its classification method for queing/prioritizing/scheduling. Diff Serve Tunnel enabled. But I need to reserve some bandiwtdh for ISIS ( non IP protocol) in case of congestion. How to go ahead with ISIS prioritization.

As per Cisco doc, router prioriizes ISIS packet processing by pak_priority but what abt queuing/scheduling ?

regards,

Gaurav

Re: QOS for ISIS

The 'mls qos protocol isis prec 6' should still work since it is setting an internal 'dscp' which is ok for L2 packets as well.

If ISIS comes in already marked high, can also use 'mls qos protocol isis pass-through'.
