QOS on 6506E

I have a 6506E cat switch with IOS 122-18.SXF7. When I try to apply the service-policy to either a vlan or eth interface I get the message "priority command is not supported in output direction for this interface". Input does not work either. Has anybody seen this and is there a work around?

6500 switches do not support MQC commands in the same way that routers do. If you are trying to prioritize certain traffic then start with this example from the config docs -
