Hi,

Can someone pls describe,the difference between rate limiting,traffic shaping and traffic policing?

May be you can expalin based on a scenario in which a rate of 48 kbps is applied on a 64 kbps link..?

Also explain the formula in which the burst size is calculated..

What is the significance of burst size..?

Rate-limiting is the same as policing. The following document explains the difference between policing and shaping quite well:
