can anyone tell me which queuing mechanism is best for network and why?..
as far as i think its priority queuing mechanism....
help me out....

hi...
you can have various queing...
but LLQ is the most suitable for all the Network... when ever you are talking about priority queue then its work like... it will clear the voice traffice very first as soon as the packet arrive in priority queue...
where as LLQ is like you can say combination of WFQ and PQ... so its good to use LLQ

Hi,
what is "most suitable" really depends on your requirements ... and on availability. LAN switches f.e. generally do not support LLQ but queueing methods like SRR, WRR and so on.
A little more about LLQ. LLQ = CBWFQ + PQ. CBWFQ (configured with "bandwidth") does give minimum bandwidth guarantees for data traffic. There are no delay guarantees involved. So this might be most suitable for things like CITRIX, http to specific application server and the like.
PQ in LLQ does give delay and minimum bandwidth guarantees, BUT also implements a policer for the specified rate. This means in an overload situation excess traffic is dropped. This is ok for voice (too late is not useful anyhow, so drop it).
For telnet you would rather delay a packet than drop it. Thus "priority" is not most suitable for those applications.
