Below is my wccp config on my internet router which will redirect outbound web traffic back to my web proxies in dmz via GRE tunnel which will then access the web traffic on the internet on behalf of my clients. My internet router and dmz web proxies(x.x.x.116 and x.x.x.118) are separated by a firewall.
ip wccp 10 group-list 10
ip address 192.168.1.1 255.255.255.0
no ip unreachables
no ip proxy-arp
ip wccp 10 redirect in
access-list 10 permit x.x.x.118
access-list 10 permit x.x.x.116
Now i have a wierd problem where on my x.x.x.118 proxy there are no traffic logs at all. But on my firewall logs, i can see traffic initiated by my x.x.x.118 proxy to the internet on http/https every now and then.
Below are the wccp details captured on my internet router. Base on wccp details below can it be said that there is no gre tunnel form to my x.x.x.118 proxy or no traffic between internet router and proxy since packets seem to be 0? And base on config provided the internet router will choose the proxy base on round robin method to form the GRE tunnel whenever web traffic is detected? TIA!
This is actually a pretty cool feature, i didn't even know it existed until I was looking for a solution to advertise a subnet (prefix in BGP talk), only if a certain condition existed. This is exactly what conditional advertisements does
