R-PVST or MST

HI

i have couples of questions/

1)in which cases we use network and neighbor command togather under the eigrp?

2)if i have 4 switches connected togather can i use R-PVST or MST on 2 of switches and let the other 2 on their default mode?does it work well?

1) The network command is used to tell EIGRP which interfaces to run EIGRP on. You nearly always have this part of the confguration under your "router eigrp " configuration.

The neighbor command is used to send unicast updates to a specfic neighbor. This is not as common in the configuration.

2) MST - if you choose MST all switches should be configured with the same parameters.

R-PVST+ - you can configure 2 of your switches with R-PVST+ and leave the other 2 to run PVST+ but any vlan that exists on both R-PVST+ and PVST+ switches will default to 802.1d timers eg approx 50 seconds for convergence.
