Rate-limit Configuration

Hello All,

Can anyone tell me the difference between below given two different Rate-limit statements:

rate-limit input access-group 121 4000000 500000 500000 conform-action transmit exceed-action drop

and

rate-limit input access-group 121 4000000 2000 2000 conform-action transmit exceed-action drop

Best Regards,

Guru Prasad R

Re: Rate-limit Configuration

Hi,

The two parameters after 4000000 are normal burst and maximum burst in bytes. Both means some form of extra data can be sent above the given rate. The last one is more restrictive.

Hope it helps,

Krisztian
