rate-limit

i have to restrict the max data flow / max BW provided to the customer to the remote site through serial interface. can i control it with rate-limit input command on the Serial Interface itself on the customer router.

You can use the rate-limit command to configure the committed access rate (CAR) and distributed CAR (DCAR) policies on an interface. In order to configure the rate-limiting, apply this command on a router:

rate-limit {input | output} [access-group [rate-limit] ] conform-action exceed-action
